Design Program:
Byce & Associates, Inc. provided Architectural and Engineering Services for the Western Michigan University Campus Services Building Expansion in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Materials were chosen to tie into the current Butler Building Construction. The expansion included an additional bay approximately 25′ x 200′ and matched the existing prefabricated metal building structure.
The project design consisted of excavation, footings/foundations, a 6″ concrete slab, and a building shell that included three entry doors and one overhead door. Alternate design was provided for the exterior insulated panels instead of the standard PEMB wall system.
Our professional services during this project included full design services that allowed for the obtainment of construction permits and the Certificate of Occupancy for the proposed addition.
