New Reception Desk
Design Program:
The Kalamazoo Psychiatric Hospital in Kalamazoo, Michigan had an outdated reception area with an information desk concealed from view in the main entry area.
Byce’s interior design and electrical engineering teams were asked to design a creative, functional, and accessible reception desk/office area in the main lobby. The new desk extends further into the lobby; making it a much more versatile and welcoming feature as guests enter the facility.
Design Challenges:
Our design details, finishes, colors, and light fixture styles had to aesthetically blend and compliment all the original historic elements; such as fluted wood panels, antique wall sconces, and colors with- in original terrazzo floors.
