Bell’s Brewery, Inc. New Bio-Energy Facility
American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) has awarded us with the Honorable Conceptor Award for our work on the Bell’s Brewery Bio-Energy Facility. To keep pace with its innovative brewing operations, Bell’s Brewery was inspired to look at waste water in a whole new light. At the end of 2014, Bells Brewery commissioned the new Bio-Energy building to maximize economic and sustainable benefits. The facility converts the waste water from Bell’s Brewery to a bio-gas which is then burned off and used to generate power for Bells, as well as Consumers Energy. By treating their own waste water Bells was able to cut operational costs and project a return on the facility investment in under 10 years.
